7th May: The Battle Of Hastings – Rye Kino

A film about the Eleventh Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition will be shown at the Rye Kino on May 7th, with a Q and A with Director Mike Figgis.

All tickets £20 which includes a regular glass of wine and nibbles. This event is a fundraiser for HIPCCBooking online, by phone 01797 226293 or in person. Kino Rye is open from midday Monday – Friday and from 10.30am at weekends. Director Mike Figgis is an English film director, screenwriter, and composer. He was nominated for two Academy Awards for his work in Leaving Las Vegas (1995).

2nd July: Summer Recital and Picnic with Taek Gi Lee

The Summer Prizewinners’ Recital at Fairlight Hall will take place on July 2nd, with 2014 winner Taek Gi Li making a welcome return.

Grounds open for picnics from 12pm. Recital 2pm-4pm including interval.

2015 HIPCC Winner Alexander Panfilov performs TCHAIKOVSKY’s Piano Concerto No.1 with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra at the De La Warr Pavilion on June 1st. Tickets HERE

In May/June our 2017 Winner Kenneth Broberg will take part in the prestigious Van Cliburn Piano Competition in Fort Worth, Texas.
